Video Processing Features of Magewell Ultra Encode AIO

24-03-2023

Our Ultra Encode AIO media encoder is a versatile tool that allows users to encode a single live input source from either HDMI or SDI interfaces or mix video from both inputs into a combined output in either picture-in-picture or side-by-side layouts. The encoder also provides high-quality video processing, including color adjustments and overlays, such as text, images, and a clock. This article presents an overview of how users can flexibly apply these features to streams and recordings.

Color Setting

The Ultra Encode AIO offers various color settings, such as color space conversion, quantization, saturation, brightness, contrast, and hue.

Image Composition

When the Ultra Encode AIO receives both HDMI and SDI signals, users can choose to encode either of the video sources or combine the two signals into a picture-in-picture or side-by-side layout. Users can also specify the format of the composited video, including resolution and frame rate, to match the characteristics of either the HDMI or SDI input signal.

Additionally, users can define what is displayed when the Ultra Encode AIO is not receiving an input signal. They can choose from options such as a "No Signal" slate, the Magewell logo, or a custom image in JPEG format with a resolution of up to 1920x1080 and a file size of 1.00MB or less.

Layer Overlay

The Ultra Encode AIO also allows users to add overlay elements, including text, pictures, and a clock, to both the main and sub streams. Users can define two distinct sets of encoding parameters for the main and sub streams and add up to eight overlays to each of them. They can freely combine and display the three types of elements simultaneously and have different overlays for the two streams if desired.

Users can configure the parameters of each overlay element, such as the text content, location, font, font size and color, stroke, and color for text layers, time display format, location, font, font size and color, stroke, and color for time layers, and the selected image, location, alpha transparency value, and zoom for picture layers.
